Captain Peter S. Holland, Director
A Swiss national with a degree in math and a long career in international pharma consulting, he has owned and operated a dive and research vessel in the Seychelles since the late 1990’s. Though born near Basel CH, he grew up in St. Malo, France where he fell in love with the sea. He has a captain’s license and was formerly a dive instructor too. In 2020, Peter sailed Basilisk from Genoa to Victoria, Seychelles by way of the Suez Canal, Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
Maureen C. Reinertsen Holland, Director
Born and raised in the USA with Swiss citizenship, Maureen is an architect, expat relocation business owner and property management specialist. She grew up in CT near Long Island Sound and was a competitive swimmer in her teenage years, obtaining a PADI AOWD certificate only in her 50s. She served as deckhand and cook on the 2020 trip.
